I am a specialist in agricultural economics, food marketing, and academic administration.

I worked for 28 years at Teagasc, (the Agriculture and Food Development Authority for Ireland), followed by a spell as Academic Director of the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute (IAVI), now the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI).

I have lectured and published extensively on economics, agricultural economics, and food marketing as well as conducting and supervising research.
